St. Jude Radiothon

The 38th annual St. Jude Radiothon will broadcast live Feb. 14-15 (Thursday-Friday, a departure from previous drives held Monday-Tuesday). Broadcast hours on station Z107.5 will be 7 a.m.-6 p.m. The Zeta Rho chapter of the philanthropic group Epsilon Sigma Alpha co-sponsors the Ruston event that last year brought in nearly $74,000. St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital has treated more than 20,000 young cancer patients from around the world, including 800 current patients from Louisiana. St. Jude’s operating costs total $2.4 million daily, but no family is ever billed for treatment, travel, meals or lodging. Feb. 14-15 the event will be located at both Ruston's Super 1 Foods and the Z105.5 radio station. The donation line will be 1-800-787-5288. Throughout January and February, donations are also being accepted at a number of participating businesses throughout North Louisiana.
