Career Connections Corner

The Library is a great place to take care of all types of business, and one that is especially important is job searching. We’re always looking for better ways to help, and that’s why we’re starting the Career Connections Corner. Are you comfortable with computers? Do you have access to a personal computer or wifi? Are you familiar with job search sites online? Do you have all the tools necessary to apply for jobs online? Are you satisfied with your resume? Do you have all of the skills needed for your dream job? If you say no to any of these questions, drop by the Library’s Career Connections Corner on the first and/or third Fridays of the month. This free career-focused service is offered from 10am to noon in the Vienna Conference Room. Whether just starting your initial job hunt or dusting off your resume for the future, Library staff will be on hand to offer you personalized, one-onone instruction through whatever area of career improvement you need. Our goal is that each time you leave, you will be one step closer to achieving your career goals. The Library will have eight laptops available for patron use, but if you have a personal laptop, feel free to bring it along. Wifi is always available. If you have your resume file saved, be sure to have access it via email, a flash drive, or a share site before you come. We look forward to helping you meet your goals in today’s job market.
