Sock Drive - Warming Elders' Tootsies

The holiday season has begun and I am excited to announce the 4th annual launch of Warming Elders
Tootsies. During the holiday season, new socks are collected and gifted to residents of local nursing
homes. We ask you to join us in the annual collection of socks to be gifted to local nursing homes. To join

How long will the collection last?
The collection of socks for the Warming Elders Tootsies sock drive will start November 1st and last
throughout the month of November. At the end of the month, the socks will be collected and for those
who are participating in the competition to collect the most socks, a winner will be announced.
Participating in the competition portion of this project is optional, although it is a fun way to enjoy
fellowship and friendly competition with other businesses and groups participating.

How does the competition work?
This is the time to get creative, with unique ideas to support the mission of Warming Elders Tootsies this
holiday season. We encourage you to go all out ensuring you will have the most sock donations coming
into your business or group. The rules are simple, the business or organization that has collected the
most socks by the end of November will be named the winner. Some ideas or ways to get donations
could be offering a discount or special offer to those with sock donations, creating a fun graphic to post
in your store or on social media asking for sock donations, and more. It’s all up to you! One definite
recommendation would be having a designated, festively decorated, collection bin/box to store and track
the progress of your sock donations.
