Fall Chautauqua Series

October 3, 10, 17, and 24, 2017 The Chautauqua Series topics will cover Lincoln Parish's earliest Native American settlers, local landmarks, the surprising history of cops and robbers in the community, and the history of Grambling. The hopes of the modern Chautauqua series is to continue to inform local residents of the area's history.

October 3: "They Were Here First" by James Hardy and Larry Pixley, Native American historians.

October 10: "Outlaws, Gangsters, and The Lawmen Who Fought Them" by Wesley Harris, local Historian and Museum Board Member.

October 17: Grambling-"An American Success Story" by Phyllis Miller, Grambling Historic Preservation Study Committee Coordinator.

October 24: "Lincoln Landmarks" by Rick Godly, radio personality and Chautauqua Committee Member. The conversations will begin at 6:00 p.m
