EXTENDED DATE - Call for Artists: LATech Faculty, Alumni and Students
New deadline date for artwork submission is March 23, 2020 - 11:59pm
In honor of LA Tech’s 125th Anniversary, Ruston Artisans Gallery’s next exhibition ‘Quasquicentennial Tech - Reflecting Forward’ is showcasing artwork from current students, faculty and Alumni. Content is open to interpretation. Artwork accepted during the artist’s time at Tech or subsequently.
*The exhibition will be displayed April 1 – June 5, 2020, with a reception being held on April 23 from 5-8 pm, during Tech's weekend celebration of events. It is projected that there will be a significant number of people in Ruston during this weekend, offering an opportunity for wide exposure of your artwork.
We encourage you to be a part of this exciting exhibition as we go through LA Tech’s history of art.
- Eligibility: Current Students, Faculty and non- professional and professional alumni of Louisiana Tech University.
- National: No residency requirement.
- Accepting: Traditional and non-traditional media, sculptures, pottery, jewelry and other types of art/materials are acceptable.
- Artwork Submission: Artists may submit up to 6 images for review.
- No Registration Fee

*Ruston Artisans new practices regarding exhibitions to aid in the prevention of the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19):
A scheduling feature is being added and will be utilized to see all exhibitions (unless we are required to close our doors). Patrons could go online or call us to schedule a private time to see an exhibition. To be socially responsible this should only be individuals who are currently cohabitating (people who live in the same household) to avoid exposure to others. Enhanced cleaning procedures would be in place.
Exhibitions would also be offered online via our website and/or social media. Our goal would be that everyone has an opportunity to experience our brilliant artists.
Art will continue to be sold online or during a visit. It can be picked up curbside or delivered.
**Quasquicentennial Tech – Reflecting Forward Exhibition featuring current and alumni Tech students and faculty, for an extended time. It is unlikely that some of the events planned for the LA Tech 125th celebration will come to fruition given the current circumstances and so we may hold this exhibition open for a longer period of time.
