SUMMARY:Running From Covid Virtual 5k
DESCRIPTION:This Running From Covid VIRTUAL 5k is a precursor to our Peach Festival 5k that will be held in October.  Since we couldn't hold our normal Peach Festival race due to COVID-19 pandemic\, we wanted to offer you this opportunity to sweat it out because we know you love to run in the summer!  \n\nThis race is a fundraiser for the Louisiana Peach Festival and we will donate $1 for every runner to Simply Southern Rescue.  This race is in a VIRTUAL RACE format.  This format allows you to do this event wherever you want!  A virtual race is a physical run/walk you complete on your own.  Once you are registered\, your registration will be transferred to the Virtual Run at no additional cost.\n\nRegistration for this Virtual Race begins July 1\, 2020 and will remain open until midnight on July 24\, 2020.  The fee is $35 for a t-shirt.  A medal will be given\, should you win your age bracket. The t-shirt design is a fun design that features pumpkins scaring away the peaches\, which gives reference to Covid chasing Peach Festival to October.  We hope you enjoy this collectible t-shirt.  The background of the design will be the shirt color.  \n\nDETAILS ON SUBMITTING YOUR TIME\n\nStep 1.  Once you have finished your run/walk - capture a screenshot of your time on an app\, fitbit watch\, etc.  Running apps such as Map My Run\, Runkeeper\, etc. can be found on your Google Play Store or Apple Store.\n\n\n\nStep 2.  Fill out your Virtual Submission Form that will be sent to you after you register in order to be included in the results and be eligible for age group awards.  The deadline to submit your results and proof is July 25\, 2020.\n\n\n\nAWARDS & RACE T-SHIRT PICK UP\n\nYou will receive an email with more details about pick-up information for your official race t-shirts and awards by the end of August.
