DESCRIPTION:Misery In this classic thriller based on the work of Stephen King\, Paul Sheldon is biting the hand that feeds him. After building a successful career as a writer of romance novels\, he is killing off his title character. Paul has grown to hate the romantic heroine of his best-selling Misery book series. He has written his final romance and hopes to publish a gritty realistic novel that will take his career in a new direction. Unfortunately\, Paul crashes his car in a remote mountain area. He is rescued by Annie Wilkes a lonely nurse who happens to be his "number one fan". Paul is forced to write for his life in hopes of meeting Annie's demand for a Misery book that meets her skewed sense of approval. What follows is an award-winning battle of wits for Paul's life and his literary soul. The play was adapted for the stage by William Goldman and will be directed by Professor KT Zimmerman.
